I don't want to rain on Philip's parade of 4,000 views of his news channel promo (congratulations!) as it is rather spectacular. My story is really oranges to his apples.

Late last year I posted a couple of Lego Star Wars Toys commercials that I voiced on one of my YouTube channels. In the six weeks leading up to Christmas they had less that 50 views each. Then something happened. In the two months since one is up to 136,000 views and the other is up to almost 237,000 views. Apparently they're getting linked/embedded by Lego fans all over the world. I'm not sure it's doing a thing for my VO career, but it's fascinating to watch the numbers roll up every day. And it's nothing new. Dan Nachtrab has a year old Lego spot that's heading for one million views.

Phenominal Bruce, that's amazing. This is just strange: A few years ago I posted a video of me overdubbing triangle hits in the studio for a track... and it's now got over 16,000 hits!!

As the CNBC clip shows and more so the Lego commercial, we suck at guessing what people will find entertaining and interesting. Long may that remain the case.

I would just like to report that Axe Cop Episode 1 featuring our own Bob Souer and Dave DeAndrea (with a tiny contribution from me) is now approaching 400,000 hits (398,722 at last check).

3 year old lio handles the mouse like no one's bidness, so it's likely there are many like him, hitting replay. Wink

In just under four days one has added 15,000 more views and the other 6,000 more.

A fun (?) thing is that the kids leave some pretty inane comments. My favorite so far is: "they just produce that commercial for money, which is the dumbest thing to do!"

I hear that mic is one of the building blocks to a good studio!

I did a Lego video back when my now 17 year old nephew was a total Lego freak, but he was old enough to understand that "Farmer Brown" was actually his uncle.

Wow, Dan...that's just amazing.

Do you know if it's lead to any work?

PS. My son made his own Lego video, and is thrilled with the 9 views that he's gotten in 3 weeks or so.
