How serendipitous that this should come up today: I've spent the whole day tackling the barrage of messages that piled up in the wake of a gig my band did in a local park last weekend. Two concerts and a dance stemming from just one appearance. Woo-hoo!
Small bit of video from the weekend is at http://voiceover.ca/clientaccess in a file named 455Rclip.wmv
We're all related - that's me in the front, daughter on bass, son-in-law on guitar and his sister on backup vocals.
Weekends with the kids, ya know? More fun than the zoo..... _________________ Blue skies -- Lauren Lee

That was good, obviously people in the audience thought it went well Lauren as the gigs are rolling in. You must've got fed up with them mentioning the lack of harmonica player. The 305 bus goes as far as Inverness so I'll need collecting from there. |

Don -- thank you so much! Banksey -- I wonder if I could get my little airplane over there to pick you up... naw -- we'd run out of gas by the time we hit Iceland. Brrr. _________________ Blue skies -- Lauren Lee

hey gang,
Thought I'd give you all a little bit of what I have done in the past on the bass. This is a song that the last band I was in was just toying around with when we disbanded.
hope you enjoy it.
A Pink Floydish sounding thing
By the way, I hope you can hear the bass underneath the guitar and drums. It might be a little soft. Crank those speakers up!! _________________ Christopher G. French

Lots O Music makers around here!
My main axe is bass... but I like to play with guitars, drums and keys too!
There used to be a service called Rocket Network, where you could collaborate with others using Logic/Cubase, the technolgy has since been sold to digidesign for studio use. back when it was alive and only $10/month, I had fun collaborating with folks all around the globe...
This tune I started with a drum track, then added guitar, rythm, bass, keys... then floks from Germany, Australia, France, Canada, East & West Coast combined to make this interesting tune...

Hey Banksey! Your Harmonica got me to pull my guitar and bass out of the closet! This A blues could shure(pun intended) use your harp in the middle!
I can plug an mp3 into this mix....

I just found this song that I sequenced on some of my keyboard gear. I used to want to be Hans Zimmer (does movie scores and soundtracks). Anyway, this is a little diddy I did like 8 to 10 years ago....I am not sure when I did it. Let's just say it is "very interesting... definitely a conversation piece".
I was up late one night and decided I wanted to pull some samples from TV and add them into a song. Sampling was the coolest thing back some 10 years ago. So, I got some stuff from TV....home shopping, weather channel....a bear growling on an SUV commercial and many other sounds. You can hear them in the mix. Hopefully it's none of your VO stuff that I sampled, otherwise I am in trouble
None-the-less, this is somewhat interesting to listen to although it drags on longer than it should. After reviewing some stuff I had in storage.....I have like over 30 original tunes I did over the years. Just a blast from the past. Hopefully you like it.

Ben,
I quite agree. And in keeping with the origin of this thread, I play the tuba; though badly. And my degree is in vocal performance. _________________ Be well,

Thanks TGG and Bob. I will post one or two more down the road when I get them loaded on the old hard drive. Thanks for checking the tune out. _________________ Ben
