That was the day Scott Pollack asked this question... “is SaVoa Worth Renewing.
I stayed dead silent on that issue. Scott, as he is capable of doing, asked a serious question and got all manner of replies
That day 9 months ago was the very moment when the process for what is about to be revealed was set into motion.
One golden rule of marketing is to never tear down another enterprise to build up your own. If I have done that, I apologize. Others are doing a bang up job of deconstruction.
I have been mightily peeved with certain folks who have enjoyed trashing a worthwhile organization because they did not get their way. Call it what you will, I liken it to Mother Cooper standing up for VO-BB. I will always stand up for SaVoa!
With the exception of a very few here I deeply respect all on this BB and don’t, any more, waste time with the others. Where I can be helpful I enjoy doing so, that is my nature.
So to set right some wrong impressions and to answer Scott’s question, here is some verifiable truths about SaVoa;
A - SaVoa has never been a 501 C (3) a charity, it is a 501 C (6) a business league.
B - SaVoa has never had members of the corporation and that is stated in the articles of incorporation on file and accepted by the Secretary of State of North Carolina.
C - SaVoa is not a public non-profit. It is a private not-for-profit.
D - SaVoa business is providing an accreditation of ability and audio quality. If you have a Good House Keeping seal you would not own stock in the magazine.
I learned this while with Western/Electric, “When all is said and done. More is said than done”. My signature is my true motto.
