Just had a look at my finances and as a result of so doing a clear statement (no pun intended) dropped into my head.

Return on investment means a financial return, either increased income or decreased expenditure, on a financial investment. That is NOT a matter of opinion.

Here's the BS part.

"Well you see there are the returns that you simply can not measure"

Of course, life is like that. Here's the business secret or trick to keep you on the right path.

Do not use the things you CAN measure and justify the use by claiming you got back something you can't measure.

The above is simply business nothing else. If you try exercising discipline in the above for 3 months it will change your business for the better for ever.

Are you saying "Treat it like a business" ROI first… that will help me with QOL issues

Grandfather always said "Take care of you pennies' nickels, dimes and quarters. They will be come dollars and they will take care of themselves"

But then he wasn't a professor he was a business man.
