Finally found the time to get my black box codec working. Last link in the chain is to test one of the speed dial settings for a Zeffffer. Any help would be appreciated and as you'll be dialling me I'm happy to cover call costs if need be.

Glad you got that worked out Philip. For what it's worth, I used sdial preset 37 (Zephyr compatibility mode at 48kHz, layer II yada yada) on my Prima 110 and have managed to connect to two different Zephyr boxes over here in the US. The only differences between your box and mine should be the interface module.

As to the thing you mentioned the other day... as there's no easy listening on the 110, the only way to monitor what's being sent is taking a tap from your mixer or whatever*. This is the cheap no-frills box, it seems to work perfectly, but lacks the niceties like on-board meters or headphone monitoring.

*I monitor my output by listening to the return channel. When a voice in my head says "that sounds OK", then I'm good to go...

I have a dedicated headphone amp so the audio out goes into that and doing a test dial with Elisa earlier today it appeared to do the biz

So it's just "Operation Zephyr" which is not a priority and I thoroughly expect it to be just fine as it was with Elisa's Prima. I was told by herself that my "black box" will probably spend most of its life on speed dial 1 and for Lepers it will be 27.

Producer in Germany wanted to ISDN yesterday evening. CDQ Prima no connecty ..AudioTX no connecty. Him MusicTaxi something or other. Him call me..No........Me call him..No. Well, we tried. Session done on Skype and I sent him the AIFF.

Just to note that Liz's Zephyr talked very nicely to my CDQ Prima 110, so if everything is tickety-boo, then it should talk nicely to yours as well.

... just had a thought regarding the Zephyrs over here in the US. Having just gone through the pain and suffering of installing ISDN, I found it a little third-world the way the telcos work over here (that is a complete and utter understatement). Having bludgeoned my way into basic Verizon ISDN, I had to jump through a whole bunch of new hoops (now flaming), this time with Sprint to get long-distance service at a reasonable rate. I asked about international... and that was a completely different world of pain... and more hoops, decaying rope bridges and hidden maps.

The services over here are completely ŕ la carte, usually from different providers, so it wouldn't surprise me that there are very few US-based Zephyrs that are connected to an ISDN line with an international service plan.

Bleah— I don't have dial out on mine.

I am still moving my studio— and on Friday my ISDN service was still in bits.

No reason to suspect a problem but a test dial is always worth while. Zephyr to Prima courtesy of Liz about 5 minutes ago and all was fine. Thank you Mam.
