Hi everyone!
I know I don't post a lot here, and I've not been very vocal, but I am here with you guys more than you know. Sorry I don't really say much, but I truly appreciate all the information you all so freely help out with when people need it.
I have a small request I was hoping that some of you might be willing to help out with. I have been involved with a very small radio station here in town for a few years totally volunteer. It has recently been acquired by a new owner and they have changed the format up somewhat. It is a non profit low power FM (100 watt) that focuses on local people and the community. Their main format is Christian Contemporary, but he also helps out Indie artists and promotes all matter of services for the community. For some time I have been doing pretty much all of the production for the station and since the new owner has been working at it full time, he has been acquiring more stuff to be produced.
SO..... I was wondering if any of you would be willing to volunteer a few minutes every once in a while to be a voice for him and some promos and such. All I would need is the voice and nothing else. :30 to :60 tops. Yesterday alone he gave me 5 spots and I have to say I'm pretty tired of hearing me and I'm sure they would like some different voices. This would be on a voluteer basis and only as you would have time. I'm pretty sure I would not overwhelm anyone and not sure how long it would last or how much will be coming along. But he seems to be doing well so far. I would keep a list and rotate everyone so I wouldn't be asking all the time and taking up your work time. So if you're interested you can contact me at info@bakerstreetmusic.com with your contact info or here whichever you prefer.
I have a couple of people that participate here that have helped me out and I really thank you guys for the assistance. So, pretty easy stuff and only if you are interested in helping out and want to help support a great group of people working on this. Thanks everyone in advance for your support. You're a great bunch of people.

A few questions: What's the station called and it's dial position and city? Is there a website we can look at? Is the station for-profit or non-profit?

Thanks so much to everyone that has responded so far. I will be in touch with you soon. I really do appreciate it.
And Bruce, yes I forgot to mention it is a non profit. Sorry. None of us get paid. Never have. It's so small the money they take in covers operating costs and license fees and that's about it. The station used to be a Christian hard rock station (yes) and it was pretty decent. But they have changed the format and are trying to use it as a tool to reach the community and support local churches and other non profit organizations. I have been involved with them for over 3 years now. If you want to check it out here is the website: www.957thechoice.com They are streaming now and just began that a couple of weeks ago. So they are moving in a positive direction as opposed to just surviving. He is really trying to make this work. Feel free to contact him if you like. His info is on the contact page if you have more questions. I'm sure he has the answers and loves to learn. He really has a desire to make this work.
Thanks again every one. I really do appreciate the support. _________________ For more from the 501st visit: www.bakerstreetmusic.com
