Late on July 3rd, I got the impulse to record an a cappella rendition of the Star Spangled Banner as my contribution to the Independence Day festivities. All through July 4th, I kept thinking about it, but other things kept getting in the way. As I was about to get into bed on the evening of the 4th, the thought hadn't gone away, so I shuffled into the booth and recorded it. It's already the 5th here, but it's still the 4th in a couple other time zones, so I guess I kinda-sorta made it in time. 
This is pure me -- warts and all -- with a little compression, EQ, and reverb. I pray that you enjoy it in the spirit in which it was created.
