Not much else on the recording docket today so now is the time to make some headway on the current audiobook project....except, the church school across our little vale has a huge lawn that must be mowed, at least weekly it seems and for over an hour now, the condo association gardeners are doing their two plus hour routine, and a neighbor has hired a workman to clear all the undergrowth along her portion of the vale with the loudest weed whacker I've ever heard.

And the icing on the cake? It's glass bottle collection day for the recyclers and everyone must have been saving up. The gardening symphony is punctuated with the periodic crescendo of cascading glass into a giant steel bin.

Not music to my ears.

Sounds like a good day for a Starbucks run in the village.

If it were not raining here today, my neighbor would be installing siding on the section of his house that's closest to my studio, as he was yesterday. The hammering and sawing is probably faint and muffled enough that it wouldn't show up in any recordings, but I used to time for other pursuits, such as buying some wood. I hope there are no other voiceoverists in my immediate vicinity because they might become annoyed with me this weekend when I go out to the garage and fire up the power tools.
