literally!
it hasn't rained more than an inch here since late may - worst drought i've ever seen ... an hour ago a thunderstorm rolled through and put a tree on my house ... good times!
it's a chainsaw day tomorrow! _________________ "i know philip banks": todd ellis

The main thing is that you, the family and the home studio are okay, Todd! And from the photos it appears that hopefully your roof is, too.
PLEASE, please, PLEASE send some of that rain our way. Our ground is crackin'. _________________ Scott R. Pollak

i think i made it rain. my koi pond was dangerously low - so i borrowed the water wagon from the farm & hauled 500 gallons of water in to treat & dump in. it started raining less than 24 hours later.
if you look at the top pic. the large trunk hit the smaller bent over branch on the way down - that's why i'm fairly confident there isn't any major damage.
i was actually recording when it happened - but i thought it was thunder. i'm in the basement at the other end of the house.
still raining here - i'll try to push some of it southeast, scott. but if i were you, i'd get a koi pond.
btw - all that brown in the 2nd pic is my grass! _________________ "i know philip banks": todd ellis

Ho-ly shite, Todd! Really glad that you got some rain, but not about the side effects!
Hope it'll clean up without any serious damage. _________________ jen@jengosnell.com

Todd- Same thing happened to my house in Wisconsin. About 1:45 AM Thursday lightning hit a 200 year old oak tree next to the house and split the tree in half. Half the branches landed on the roof. Big honkers. The tree guy was on a number of emergency calls and finally got things cleared by 6PM. Crazy weather. _________________ Bobbin Beam
