Got an email from an ad agency I've voiced for:

Quote:
I have another VO project and a need for a female voice talent. Could you refer any to me? I hate to take up your time with this but I had great luck with your suggestions last time....we're looking for a talent that can convey these attributes:

Credible
Trustworthy
Dynamic
Efficient
Talented
Knowledgeable
She would probably need to be a more mature voice with an aire of sophistication.

I love that I can send the links to the websites of a handful of our talents and get this back:

Quote:
Tremendous! I'll see who the client likes...they're all perfect. I'll let you know what transpires.

Nice place, this.

B

It's a good place to get to know people. I don't recommend anyone for a job unless I know I can trust them.

My "Talent Quiver" is loaded with arrows from this joint.

I explained to a VO recently that in pointing clients to their website I was not doing the VO any favours.

"They(the client) need to know about YOU, that's why I told them"

Same here... plus it keeps clients from having to resort to the P2Ps for new talent!

I'm pleased to have been able to recommend a number of my fellow VO-BBers for gigs. I just wish some of them had been better paying gigs. But I'm grateful that my friends have been willing to step in and make me look like a hero to my clients, even when it wasn't a huge payday.

Ditto - just a couple of weeks ago, I went to my VO-BB buds for some demos.

It is really splendid to hire people I already TRUST.
We've gotten to know each other over the years— It's awesome to get the chance to put the actual skills to work.

I love you guys.
