Well things are changing at Adobe, they have announced AA CS6.
Does anyone know if this edition will support DirectX plugins? I have read where some say yes and some say no.
I have not purchased AA CS5 or 5,5 due to Auditions support for DX. Although I have been privy to play with it a few times. The new version could be interesting. We will see.

Doing to talk about AA CS6 on tonight's EWABS... I"ll go through the new features to see which ones would be helpful to the VO user. _________________ If it sounds good, it is good.

Hey George,
I'm checking out AA CS6 for the next 30-days and would like to hear what your thoughts were about this latest version. I looked in the EWABS YouTube Channel and couldn't find the April 29th episode. I probably missed it somehow but wonder if you could provide a link.
Thanks!

I've been using CS6 since it came out, and it is incredibly efficient for VO (IMHO). It isn't new for 6, but the spectral view is AMAZING for removing mouth clicks, and tweaking audio. I honestly can't imagine there being a better way...well I could imagine one...but I can't think of a better one that exists. Stellar piece of software (regardless of whether it is overkill for VO or not ) |

Well I was unimpressed with AA's lack of DX support. I understand that it is a legacy format but still has a lot of value (even if it is not in the Apple world).
There are a few tings I appreciate and some tools which have been changed and made worse. Overall it works for VO and some, and I repeat - some other audio editing.
Add Direct X Adobe and I will consider making a purchase of version 9 or 10 .
And that is my story and I am sticking to it.

I don't own CS6 only 5.5, so I can't give a full review. Dan Lenard uses it, he's homestudiomaster@verizon.net

Ah... OK. I'll contact Dan for advice.
Thanks, Geroge!
