BBC Radio 4 broadcast with Stephen Fry at the helm. If anyone fails to learn from it then they are too stupid to be a VO ...and that takes some doing. Wink

This is good stuff... now in series 5. They are only short series (three shows or so, plus some specials), and are well worth seeking out. Do what you can to listen to earlier episodes... I understand that there are plenty of places to obtain previously broadcast BBC material.

Your ears will love you forever. As an ex-pat, I need my BBC Radio 4 fix on a regular, and on-going basis.

I love Stephen Fry, and listening to his PodBlasts or whatever he called them a couple of years ago made me change my mind about my own pedantry. Language is a fluid thing. Meanings and usages change— and trying to stop English from its juggernaut lexicon alchemy is not only futile, but stupid.

Listening now. I'll edit this post with my thoughts.

PS: I also am a big fan of Mr. Fry.

*Edit* Right.

It was interesting about the theory of intonation on questions. I generally found it a worthwhile listen, but someone really has to kick the editor in the shins.

Will be listening to this today when I get a moment.

On a related side note, a most Happy of Birthdays to Mr. Fry!
