Nice bit of PR for him so well done! Some of the best VOs around are musical so he stands a good chance of doing well.

Did I hear him say that your voice gets deeper with age?... comparing your vocals at 30years and at 80years.

If he gets into VO it sounds like he's got a lock on one segment of our business: service and product providers that cater exclusively to elephants.

I didn't want any work in that area anyway. I hear the pay is peanuts.

Old joke: Do you know why elephants don't drink martinis? Have you ever tried to suck an olive up your nose?

Last night I shot an elephant in my pajamas, how he got in my pajamas - I'll never know.

"The tusks. The tusks. That's not so easy to say. Tusks. You try it some time. As I say, we had to remove the tusks. But they were embedded so firmly we couldn't budge them. Of course, in Alabama the Tuscaloosa, but that is entirely ir-elephant to what I was talking about."

Incidentally, at 9ft I am the tallest man in the world it's just that 3ft of me is only visible to people who believe that on the inside they're are REALLY, REALLY nice and deserve free pies.

Just look at any famous actor, musician, or person whose voice is heard a lot. Their voices get a distinctively deeper timbre as they age. The first one I can think of right now is Lewis Black.

Actually I hit the lowest note on earth. It was at Death Valley -282 feet below sea level.

I had no idea they were making cartoons for elephants. I wish him well.

Reminded me of this piece of nonsense, now a couple of years old.

"what did the one elephant say to the other?"

Neither of them knows. They couldn't hear each other over that idiot 25 miles away with the 3 foot vocal cords.

You just made me realise why some elephants go berserk during mating season. This bugger is messing up their chat sessions, causing the males to feel slighted and promptly destroy the nearest human settlement, or they wham their head against a tree, and check their text messages far too often.

At best as a VO he's average, at worst he sucks. Sorry Tim.

Ignoring the fun marketing side of things was it just me who noticed that the reporter from CNN tells us what he is doing (other than his singing career)with no facts at all.

Journalism. Who, what, where, when, why.

Now. Listen to the piece again and answer the questions regarding. Hollywood Executives, Ad Agencies, movie trailers, animation work and the ENT doctor.

I remember getting a call from a UK national newspaper and the reporter asked me about VO work, his best question ever went as follows.

"So are you able to name any TV commercials you have done the voice overs for that our readers will recognise?" In a nice way he was saying PUT UP or SHUT UP and I didn't mind in the least.

GREAT PR, Tim but other than that ..complete bollocks.

Fun find Dan, thanks for taking the time to post it.

I worked with Tim when he was with Rescue. Very nice guy.

Thanks Dan. Rescue is a Puddleburgh band.
