I just recently bought Audition CS6, have never used Audition before (had been using Bias Peak Pro for about 10 years), so I haven't even really begun learning it yet.
But I just opened a file and used the healing brush in spectral view; it seemed to work and Audition didn't crash. HOWEVER...
I just Googled. You're not alone:

Hope this helps! _________________ Mike

I have been AA CS6 as my primary DAW since its release and it has never crashed on me. Are you running Win or OSX? What are your computer specs?
I believe that tool can be pretty CPU heavy. So that could potentially overload systems. |

Thanks, it may be my hardware, though I did not have this issue with 5.5.
Mac Mini 2.66 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo 4GB 1067 MHz DDR3 Memory OSX 10.7.5
...and that would be me on that Audition Forum. _________________ jonahcummings |

That should run it fine, especially just one mono track. I have an iMac i5 with 4gb ram, and it runs smooth and quick. The only time I get a slow down is if I autoheal a large selection (and that just takes a few seconds). I haven't heard any reviews of AA with 10.8, but since you stayed with 10.7, that's no issue.
Did the issue start right after installing CS6? Is it consistent every time you use the autoheal tool? How about if you autoheal a selection instead of using the tool (in favorites)? I have autoheal mapped to the F key for quick editing. |
