Morning all! Big day today, my first live announcement gig this evening for a big award ceremony at Heathrow. A tad apprehensive but very excited. I'll report back tomorrow!!

Handy tip: Talk extra loud. Those jets can get quite noisy as they barrel down the runway.

If it goes badly, you can always hop on a plane and skip town. But I'm sure it will go smashingly!

Just got back and am thrilled, never done that before and it went well! So I was sitting with the production crew and we were all on "comms" I think they called it - headphones and talk-back. Lots of music, lights, videos and slides going off and I welcomed the guests, called out the nominees and winners and gave the blurb as they were walking onto the stage to collect their awards.

All good fun and the crew were happy with the evening, so job done! Hopefully there'll be more. Smile

Todd, the last time I gigged at The Marriot Hotel, Heathrow, I had a car load of drums and had to schlep them in, up the stairs, through the ballroom, set up, play for 2 hours and schlep them all out.

This time I drove in, had free parking, was really well looked after, finished 2 hours earlier and earned 3 times the fee. More please!! Wink

Glad you had fun, Darren. Live gigs are great. Well, until you run into the awards for the Thai or Indian divisions and have to pronounce the 23-character names.
