Remember my HEE-UGE medical narration project (over 100,000 words)...? Well, I finished it a while ago, but I wanted to take some photos for posterity's sake, to document the immenseness of it. And yes, I know I killed a small forest in order to print it out, but you'll be happy to know I'm planning on going paperless by Christmas, if Santa comes through with the IPad.
This is the binder that held the script:
This is the open binder -- you can see my notes at the top, as I was keeping track of hours, plus I was also hired to proof it for typos and spelling/grammar problems.
And this is the side view of the almost 3" tall script. With cat for reference.
Took me a little over five weeks, and almost killed me in the process... but we are now doing some much needed home repair/remodeling, so it was definitely worth it. _________________ Always look on the bright side of life.

There is nothing more satisfying that looking at 100,000 words and realizing that they're done... finished... kaput! Any audiobook reader will tell you that... but... 100K of medical narration!!!
Dang! (I'm trying to keep it clean here) That's got to feel really good to wave bye-bye to. _________________ Bish a.k.a. Bish

That is an amazing amount of work. I hope to voice medical narration one day but..I cannot make myself hope for quite that much of it at once... |

I hope never to voice medical narration.
Ever.
Not one... single... word.
But kudos to Kristina and GL to Kim. _________________ Scott R. Pollak

100,000 words of medical narration mean that at least 30,000 of those words are nearly unpronounceable. So you get double congratulations for A) getting through a huge project, and being able to pronounce 30,000 unpronounceable words! _________________ Bob Ransom

Thanks, you guys. It's a weird kind of "pride" I feel... well, not pride, exactly. More like "relief," knowing that pretty much whatever comes down the pike from here on in, I'll be able to handle, vocally and technically...
And just for kicks, this was my favorite term from the narration: "total abdominal hysterectomy-bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy". _________________ Always look on the bright side of life.
