Well, I got 25 submissions at last count. Thank you to all. It was tough to choose, but nice to have so many to choose from too. Will those who were used on a spot please email me with payment info, i.e. an address for a check? You'll notice the spots are somewhat similar but a few of my lines in the middle are different and all the the "real" voices are different.
OK, DB and Frank were on the original, and on the new spots:
Diane Maggipinto and Dave DeHart
Connie Terwilliger and Jim Sutton aka Bailey
Elaine Singer and Anthony Craine
It's almost midnight and I've been going since 5am, so this cowboy is calling it a night. Thanks again to all!

I have one word for the spots Bruce: WOW!
This is what having the camaraderie and talent of the VO-BB is all about - what a showcase!

I'm honored to have been included with such a talented group. And I concur with Don -- what a wonderful gesture, for Bruce to turn to this community for the project. And the spots sound great.

Hey Bruce,
*IF* this is possible, could you use those of us who didn't make the cut on something that we could put towards our demos? I'd be indebted to you.

Christopher, I'm loath to put words in someone's mouth about what they can or cannot do...but I'd like to bring up two points about your request.
1. We'll start by assuming that your delivery was "good" - and that there were simply more options for Bruce to choose from.
2. You probably wouldn't want something like this spot on your demo. It would actually be counter-productive given that you would have to have some of Bruce included on the demo for it to remotely make sense. Never introduce competition in your own demo.
If you liked the delivery, then you could add a bit of background "noise" to your clip - filter it slightly to give it that outdoor "interview" feel and just use that bit on a demo. But the "teacher" part of me fears that you may be putting the cart before the horse again. _________________ Playing for a living...

Also--
You're asking Bruce for a huge favor-- that's probably best done off-board. _________________ DBCooperVO.com |
