Just spotted on Craigslist. One heck-of-a-deal! Especially with that "professional" mic he's got. Wonder how long the wait is to set up a session with him??????

$250 gets you a professional Voice Over Reel

I have a professional blue snowball microphone and can edit your reel in final cut pro. Your voice reel will sound perfect. How Do I know? Cause I recorded and cut my reel on it. Shoot me an email and I will send you my reel so you can hear for yourself.

I converted my closet in my apartment into a little sound booth to record the audio and I will edit it on my iMac to sound really cool, professional and impressive! I will even write the dialogue script for you and coach you on the right voices and accents to use.

I couldn't help but look him up. He's got a Voices.com profile under the same name as his email address. Some demos are there... your chance to hear a Blue Snowball in action... etc.

That being said (and resisting all internal pressure to be snarky) if you have no way to put together your own demo, and have $250 to burn, it may actually be a better bet than the $3000 you'll burn at a high-end demo mill.

I have a Blue Snowball, but I wouldn't be cutting a demo reel with it. It has actually served rather well when I need to record screams, gurgles, etc. -- stuff I wouldn't put my other mics through.

Well it's good to know that my audio will sound "cool" since I'm also editing on an iMac. Must be the intrinsic mystic coolness of Apple.

I guess a bunch of accents makes a good demo. I've got long way to go...my demo only has me...with no accents.

If you're shooting for cartoons or video games, accents help I have no doubt. Personally, I don't do 'em... mainly 'cos I can't. But I sound really cool because I edit on a MacPro.
