I'm curious how many of you get a lot of your business from targeted SEO or C ads and how deep into it do you get when it comes to the nuts and bolts of internet marketing?
It's becoming clear to me that there are a myriad of streams to fish for work in and some people are very successful using just one but diversifying them couldn't a bad idea. I'm debating how much time to spend learning the in's and out's of SEO and C and the like as a supplement to agent and P2P work.
I'm just starting to market my services online with a brand new site but I built it myself and I know it lacks a lot of the SEO stuff that a pro would have included and was thinking of hiring someone or trying to pick it up on my own or possibly not even bothering with that angle right now. Any thoughts?
Hope you all had a great holiday

Having a pro built site is a good investment--I've got a good one for now, but getting something fancy is definitely on my investment list. _________________ Any project, any size, I can help.

Thanks for the reply Karen. Judging by the responses I think I might have asked a little to personal of a question for a new member of the board lol or maybe I'm on to something, who knows. It seems like everything now is sold with internet marketing but the VO community doesn't talk much about it. I've been quoted from $500 to $8000 for a site and various forms of marketing help so it's hard to decide how much is worth it. |

WordPress sites have fairly formidable natural SEO, I think. You do need to build on that and apply plenty of SEO savvy. I worked with a consultant to optimise my website and I've been thrilled with the results. Let me know if you'd like any further information.
On the actual web design side of things, I engaged the services of our own Corey Snow who is a freakin' genius with WordPress-based sites. I'm not sure of other platforms that he works with, but perhaps he will chime in here.
I can't recommend hiring a professional (such as Corey) enough! _________________ www.mattcowlrick.com |

I too have used (and am using) Corey's services and he is excellent. _________________ Any project, any size, I can help.
