Wow, you guys.
It was a marathon work session! All day Sunday.
We did re-voicings for Chicken Little and background dialog (not walla) for Flightplan as well as additional stuff like breathing.
Those were directed by Terri Douglas who casts and conducts sessions for all kinds of films.
Then, we worked in the afternoon with Ned Lott, the Senior Manager of Disney Character Voices, involved in directing and casting ADR Sessions for Disney.
Very cool stuff to play with-- re-voicings for Finding Nemo (I was Anchor, the shark. a riot!), The Emperor's New Groove, and the first Pirates of the Caribbean. There was some "unconventional" voice replacement there-- I dropped in some of Orlando Bloom's lines and some other gals did Captain Jack.
at the end of the day, we got to watch all our work.
We don't get to keep any of it-- too bad! But the experience was a scream. It's a skill that does NOT come easily, so "getting it" is very exciting and satisfying.
And I got a couple af great pix.
!!!

Deirdre, you rock!
We can only hope to some day dwell in the rarified air where you fly!
(great pic, too!)

From everything I've read, you certainly deserve to be there. It's exactly where I'd like to be one day! Very cool, Deebs! _________________ Greg Littlefield

Too bad we weren't there together - I would've loved to see you work.
Hey - "breathing?" I don't remember doing THAT? LOL
You look like siblings in that pic! Great shot.

Glad to know you had a fabby-do-dah time.
Without pictures ADR is meaningless. Listen to the opening 2 seconds of the clip below. Me in all my glory

Anthony--I saw your pal J there. He's got a really fine voice!
Yeah-- we were dropping in things like the breathing for Flightplan-- Jodi Foster's running and huffing and puffing in an elevator, stuff like that.
Here's Ned Lott. What a great director THIS guy is.
And. . .I just couldn't resist.

Before you take to heart DB's generous and glowing comments on the Advanced Master's ADR Event, know that I brought her out to LA on scholarship. She's that good.
So, what's she going to say? I could have had Ed Asner in a tutu teaching, fed her fudgecicles, and she still would say she had a swell time.
DB's as good or better than any talent I work with out here. That being said, I'm seriously buttering her up for a DeWitt Hardy painting. It's all about me. patfraley |

Keep the tutu. Ed Asner without a shirt would convince even the most hardcore old testament believer that Darwin was correct. eek. |
