Today 1202pm. Email to accounts department. "When are you likely to settle my invoice?" I wasn't in a rush, just trying to keep on top of things. This amount outstanding is not a few dollars it runs into thousands.

Email reply 1545pm today. "Philip,

The payment has gone through, it could take two day to reach your bank
account."

Pah! She took her time, didn't she?

Thanks for the incentive, Sir Philip. I just called a client from whom I expect payment on somethng like eight (8!!) invoices. He's on vacation this week. Figures. But I got the email address of the accounts payable person, who'll have a bit o'paperwork to deal with as I'm thinking the client (AE) didn't ever pass on the original or repeat mailings. So a few thousand are coming my way, too.

Must be in the air - I just had a whole bunch 'o cash dumped into my PayPal account today (pending approval at the moment) because this company was so mortified that one of the four outstanding invoices goes back to January that they decided to pay by credit card instead of sending me a check (they willingly added on the PayPal processing fee.)

This is a huge company in the throes of splitting into a couple of companies and my PO got lost in the process, but since they are on something like 70 days, I kind of forget when to expect a check from them and all of a sudden I realized that they were well beyond that.

Anyway, I'm remodeling my garage this summer, so that will come in handy.

Seems like Connie's right.

All my invoices are getting settled in droves right now... after stacking up more unpaids than I ever had in the last couple ofmonths.
