Was just recommended to me. Anyone know anything about it?

Haven't played with one yet, but I have heard that Yamaha worked with Steinberg to develop this one.

The pre's come from Yamaha's MGP series consoles, which have a pretty good reputation.... and the 24/192 capability is beyond that of most other interfaces..... Overkill, perhaps, but, still.....

Worth a look, I suppose... Especially at that price point. I've also had my guy recommend Roland's new Octo and Quad interfaces to me. I've heard them..... and they DO sound good. YMMV. Wink

Just ignore the MIDI in/out and you'll be fine. Everyone has their favourites and you'll probably get a bunch of "don't get that, get this instead"... but as per our discussion, and what Don says as well, there are well-respected pre-amps in there... probably as good as you're going to get in what's basically an interface unit (not a dedicated pre-amp). So, good pre-amps, headphone monitoring, a pair of balanced line-outs... and the guys over at GearSlutz seem to like it as well.
