(This request is on behalf of a friend.)
I'm looking for a multi-track a for iPad to record and mix down radio news stories. In other words the v-o goes on one mono track, with the ability to mix multiple stereo tracks to a stereo finished product, preferably MP3.
I thought Garageband might fill the bill, but it exports to MP4. I'd prefer an a that exports directly to MP3, rather than converting after the fact.
A multi-track version of TwistedWave would be perfect. I've tried Auria, and the editing curve is pretty challenging.
Thanks, Jim _________________ Jim Barton

The regular compressed export format for email on Garageband is m4a... however, if you export to iTunes you can choose to save as compressed (in a number of different m4a compression bitrates) or as an uncompressed aiff file. With that, you can do whatever you want and preserve a high quality master. Once taken off the iPad, iTunes itself can be set to export the aiff as an mp3 (instead of m4a aac files). _________________ Bish a.k.a. Bish

There's this.. the lite version of Cubase for iOS... not sure if the curve is any easier or harder than Auria.. frankly, I didn't find the curve on Auria that bad

Captain:
I bought Auria about a month after I downloaded TwistedWave. TwistedWave has almost everything a voice talent could want, except decent eq. The editing procedure is ridiculously easy. Auria on the other hand has very good eq, but editing that's needlessly difficult, tiring and annoying. Plus you can't email from the a itself (you have to upload to Dropbox, then email a link.
Has anyone had any experience with "MultiTrack DAW by Harmonicdog?" It's an older a than Auria, but for awhile there it was a big deal.

The AudioCopy/Paste between Tw and Auria allows for EQ in Auria and editing/exporting in Tw pretty effortlessly Ive found _________________ Lee Kanne
