I have searched the internet to no avail, trying to find a place to get the old Adobe Audition 1.5. Does anyone by chance know where I can find it ( I know Adobe discontinued it a while back, but I like it because it was identical to Cool Edit Pro)

There's a buy it now on ebay for $60. Snatch it up. Make sure you get the auhtorization code.

You do not have to go online to register it, and you can put it on as many computers as you like. Great, reliable software that accomadates vst plugins.
