So said the fat, elderly VO as the car mega dealer/distributor/financing house started with the fee negotition NONSENSE ...AGAIN!
I can always have a joke with these people so let fly with a rebuke!
"Money is vulgar and you make it ...dirty and grubby with your low rent wheeler dealing. Well I've had enough! No more ..C'mon fat bloke let's haggle! Here's the deal. You let me have one of you cars for as long as I lend my voice your twaddle and you can have it back when you get fed up with me ...Like, now frinstance"
"Any more unreasonable demands from the Luvvy?" asked Ed.
"Yep! Must be an estate AND free of goat poo!"
Session goes ahead.
Email arrives.
In about 5 or 6 weeks ..THIS will arrive!

Nice!
And it gets down the road remarkably quickly, considering it has no driver. _________________ Lee Gordon, O.A.V.

Gobsmacked. Totally gobsmacked.
The moral of this story is that if you don't ask, you don't get.

I wasn't really asking, it was just our usual pre-session silliness. Teasing, jokes and insults flying around like big blue flying things. But Ed had an idea!!
This is a cut n paste from his email for the car minded souls.

So the real moral is, if you're going to be silly, be silly with a purpose. _________________ Lee Gordon, O.A.V.

back in the "old days" that was actually pretty common - at least here in the colonies. i used to trade out tons of stuff, never a car, but that was always the holy grail. they changed the law at some point in the '90s and trade is taxed as income now, but it was pretty cool while it lasted! _________________ "i know philip banks": todd ellis

At one time, having 2 cars in the family was as rare as having colour TV. _________________ "Bailey"
