Legendary rock engineer and producer Andy Johns has passed after a brief illness.

Andy's work at London's Olympic Studios (and later in LA) was heard on such gems as the Stones' Sticky Fingers and Exile on Main St., Led Zeppelin's II, IV, and Houses of the Holy, Jimi's Axis: Bold as Love, and other projects by Blind Faith, Ten Years After, Free, Jethro Tull, Humble Pie, Queen, Ozzy, Joni Mitchell, Van Halen, and more.

I know what my soundtrack will be for the day.....
