I have a blue tooth headset with ear piece and mic so amazing quality but not the pits. Any comments with be greatly appriciated. One other thing, im a basic member of V123 is it worth becoming a complete member yet?

Welcome to the VO-BB sandbox!
The best place to start learning is by using the search function (link at top of page). I doubt there's a question you have that hasn't already been answered multiple times. The archives of this site are incredible!!! Wanna know about V123...etc? Do a search and be amazed. _________________ . If at first you don't succeed, then bomb disposal probably isn't for you. |

I agree. Search through the archives here. You'll find lots of opinions and suggetions.
Here are three suggestions for you off the top of my head:
1. Listen to lots of voiceover demo examples.
2. Watch for opportunities to study and learn your craft.
3. Find your voice (or voices) that will allow you to shine most brightly. _________________ Be well,

As related above, AND: you will need some software to record with such as Adobe Audition, Goldwave, ProTools, Sound Forge, Sony Vegas, etc. Note:There are some FREE programs which might be a good thing to start (or keep for a long time) with.
Additionally, a GOOD microphone such as a USB mic from Samson called the C101 is not a bad choice. Add a good sound card - and you have the makings of a nice litle home recording setup.
All of this and more can be found in the archives here on the VO-BB.
The other topic is one many have agreed to "leave alone" for a while - read the achives and find out why.
Welcome to the VO-BB from another beginner in the wonderful world of VO.

I think what Frank means is that every day is a new and wonderful beginning in the world of voiceover. He has been enjoying them for years.
Welcome. My one piece of advice - don't be desperate. You may feel that way but that's no reason to let it show. If you want to be an actor - start now. |
