The big thing is non-drowsy decongestants. Yes, they're great for the daytime, but they do not let me get decent sleep. I need one that will let me sleep and not wake up with my sinuses feeling like they're filled with cement.

Can anyone recommend one?

Thanks!

Well, there is NyQuil and all the store-branded equivalents (same ingredients, cheaper prices). This shouldn't be used over a prolonged period, though; none of the drowsers should.

Alka-Seltzer Cold and Sinus works good for me. But I wouldnt take it any more than a couple nights in a row. Otherwise it will dry you up and your nose will just produce more mucus and your problem will worsen, according to my Allergy Doc. My Netti Pot is my buddy this time of year. That and generic Claritin:-) I feel your pain.

one tablespoon of honey
a quarter of a lemon
an ounce of whiskey
a cup of tea

(if you eliminate honey, lemon & tea you're still sick, but you don't care)

really, this works --- the hot whiskey opens those sinuses right up.
