Between all of us here....
not a word that's fit to speak or print...
has escaped us.....
.....except the utterance I made when a door did this:
-- at least my wife won't wonder if my ring is off.....
Sore, but not sad....Dave C. _________________ Dave Courvoisier - Las Vegas, NV

Let me guess. You were behind a producer running a tape to master control @ 10:59:59.

I bet this is as painful as the time I slammed the LOCKED car door on my thumb. Back in the days where you didn't have to hold the handle to lock the door. I was a college student & fortunately did not PASS OUT...and was able to unzip my clutch purse in my other hand, grab the keys & unlock the door in order to remove my finger! It was surreal. You should've seen how flat my poor thumb was.
Well of course, I lost the nail & walked around with a fat wrapping of guaze bandage for quite a while. With my thumb sticking out. My friends starting giving me the "thumbs up" sign every time they saw me. _________________ Mary |

(hunt 'n' peck typing is for the birds!!!)
Thanks, everyone for your sympathies and comments...the swelling has gone down.
Tom, no, the incident didn't happen at the station....wish it had...that would be a much better story.
Frank, the "other guy" was the door, and it's still laughing at me.
Dan -- ROFL with the Iraq comment....
Mary -- I've tried -- I really have, but the Ohio reference escapes me...
This forum is awesome... DB- you're the best!!!

Contested elections, allegations of voting machine fraud. . .
etc.
I'll shut up now-- this is not a political forum, and Mary was being restrained!
I need to follow suit. _________________ DBCooperVO.com

My smashed fingers usaully involve a hammer or other tool. I have to remind myself it is not the tool's fault but operator error. |

Dave...that finger looked like the beginnings of something much bigger....where is it now? 3, 4 times bigger? Just wondering.
Reminds me of a dumb story my dad would tell us when we were kids.....a story of a fight he was in....."man, I delt a crushing blow to the other guys fist with my face...then I totally messed him up by slamming my forehead on his knee several times"...well, he was not really telling a real story; just trying to make us kids laugh.
Take care of that digit dude. _________________ Ben
