FIRST OF ALL: Mods, if I'm breaking any forum rules with this post, please delete it and of course I'll understand. I didn't see anything in the rules 'n' regs regarding this, but who knows?

If any of you are guitarists out there (and I know some of you are), I'm selling my absolutely incredible and pristine Taylor Dan Crary Custom Signature acoustic/electric limited edition guitar. Mine was made in June '97 and they quit making this model a while back, so they're in short supply. Before I go the ebay or Craig's list route I'm letting people I personally know have first dibs on it.

Pics below.

$2000, pretty firm. If I need to ship it to you, you'll need to pay shipping. There is nothing, and I mean NOTHING wrong with this guitar. On the contrary, it's a work of art that plays, and sounds friggin' incredible. No nicks, dings or scratches. Always kept in the very plush hardshell case. Neck is arrow-straight and has wonderful action. Tuning keys are a gorgeous gold and are smooth and solid. The electronics are perfect. This guitar is a 10+. Feel free to e-me or call me with any questions. Thanks!!!

Yer killin' me! I left the acoustic guitar forum because of the GAS I kept falling into, and now its following me! Who ever picks that guitar up (whether here or elsewhere) will have a thing of beauty. I've played rosewood Taylors from that year and they are rich, deep, ballsy cannons! Good luck selling my friend. That is a beautiful instrument.

Scott: you must be a "Multiple Addiction Guy".

When I explain the "voice-over person" to my friends, I tell them: You know how a golfer always needs ONE MORE CLUB to round out his bag, and a guitar player always need one more guitar to make his life whole, well voice over people always need ONE MORE MIC in the closet.

It's good to see at least one addition under control. 'Lips Are Sealed'

I've got a 99 Taylor, a Breedlove nylon hybrid, a vintage all mahogany Washburn, and a late 60s Rodriguez that sounds like a choir....

And if my 20th anniversary wasn't weeks away.... For a hand-built platpicker's dream?

I might chance it. Embarrassed

You're breakin' my heart.

And you're underpriced. Wink

Don, the reason I'm selling this is because I, too, have a Breedlove as well as a Paul Reed Smith (PRS) Tremonti SE and, honestly, I'm just not playing as much as I used to.

BTW, if you go to the Breedlove site, and go to their 'videos' link, you'll hear me narrating their story. That's how I ended up with a Breedlove. Instead of a check for payment, we negotiated them sending me a guitar. Wink

(And as far as underpriced, you're always more than welcome to pay me more! Wink )

I remember too well the day you posted the link. Had it been me, I likely would have sold my soul for the right guitar in trade, and would have ended up doing their stuff in perpetuity, for free. Rolls Eyes

That's a rare and special Taylor.... I hope it finds a deserving home.

Had I landed a lead for Harley Davidson I recently auditioned for, I was going to make the same offer to them in exchange for a V-Rod!

I'm thinking we should make this a one-time deal, especially with all of the photos and history and such. Plus I don't see a place to plug a microphone into it.

How's this for a guideline? If anyone has a non-VO item you're sure many of us would be interested in, post a short description and a link to a gloriously elaborate website.

Many thanks fellow voiceoverists,

B

Actually.... It's got its own mic, pre, and EQ. Wink

So there, see, Bruce? It IS directly v/o related!

But yeah, I see what you're saying which is exactly why I prefaced the post with my note to the mods. I don't know what the policy is and of course we don't want the forum to become flooded with Craigs List type ads so whatever DD and the mods say is fine, of course.

But you have a good idea there.... maybe we could create a sticky under the gear section that is for interesting stuff that is maybe not directly v/o related and do it like you said, just a sentence with a link to an off-site url with pics and further info.

When doing some looping, I have actually spoken and sang into that exact microphone (on the Taylor I just traded).

I had a couple years (early on) where I put a strain on my marriage with guitars coming and going. I have since realized my folly, and am still happily married. Lucky for me, she just stayed strong through my learning Smile
