|
|
Hey all. I now a lot of us are using the Mackie 1202-VLZ or something similar. I was personally annoyed by having to have my slider up when I sent audio out of Aux 2, so I did a bit of research and there is a mod to make Aux 2 PRE fader (no more turning the fader up to send audio out). This mod is actually mackie approved (the method is listed in the manual!).
I'm going to do a blog post with pics on how to do it, but for now I just wanted to let everyone know that it is very possible (easy in fact), and makes the VLZ and even MORE functional tool for us VOs. |

... this would be interesting. I can certainly see a good use for it. I'm wondering how easy it would be to modify the mod to route it via a small toggle switch mounted on the front panel to make it pre/post like Aux 1.
I'm probably over-thinking it _________________ Bish a.k.a. Bish

Just curious in what use scenario would that be helpful for you?
It's probably just a jumper that could be wired to a switch! _________________ If it sounds good, it is good.

Well if you set up the Aux sends to feed your interface for recording, and your output back to a client on phone patch, and then have the mains feeding your monitors, I want the ability to send my mic to the interface and client simultaneously without sending it to my cans. I just like the option of that 3 truly independent outputs from the board, rather than one output being dependent upon the use of another output. |
