VO-BB - 20 YEARS OLD!

If you are new to VO-BB this might be of some help. (or maybe not)

Moving around this site might seem a bit mysterious to you. I know that I had a "link" on my browser that I continually used when I wanted to get to the MAIN page. (I simply couldn't see any other way of doing it except for going "back" "back" "back" with my browser.

I can't tell you how many times I would click on the very prominent LOGO at the upper left of this page. (thinking that LOGICALLY...this would take me 'HOME?") Well...it was amusing. But NOT helpful in this regard.

Finally...I figured out that there is actually a TEXT link that is hidden among the Building Graphics that adorn the top of this page (either to the right or under the VO-BB Blue Ball Logo) that says..."THE VO-BB FORUM INDEX." Imagine my delight at this discovery., Not only that....but to its immediate right...also the name of the particular room (or subsections) that you happen to be in at the time.

Discovering all this was my ... "Eureka Moment." Whereupon I immediately jumped out of my jacuzzi and in my excitement ran naked down the street shouting "EUREKA" at the top of my lungs. (but THAT'S another story)

Veteran VO-BB members already know this and think nothing of it. But...if you are a NOOB....and (like me) tend to mentally GLOSS OVER things when they appear to be a bit graphically BUSY...Well?

You might JUST....have missed this little navigation tool.

So....if you haven't yet discovered this hidden treasure. You're welcome. If you have. Good on you. You're probably GREAT at those "Hidden Images - Sticker Fun" travel books.

I hope SOMEONE finds this useful.

Regarding your jacuzzi incident...I am quite agog and aghast!

You know...you KNOW not to take your laptop into the jacuzzi with you!

When following the link from the main page that Clutter Ash just shared with us, you indeed come to the Forum "main page".

Here is MY favorite link/short-cut.

When you reach the Forum "main page"... at the right hand side of that page at the bottom of the "header" there are three available links. One of them takes you to "Posts since last visit". I copied that link and put it in my FAVORITES Bar on the browser. That lands me right in the middle of the list of 2 to 10 new posts since my last visit.

(Fortunately, I have yet to land there with my clothes still at the hot tub.)

I participate in another forum that over the weekend install a whole new software scheme. (some of you will know EXACTLY what site I am talking about.)

For now, their link to "new posts in a thread where I have posted" is AWOL. I suspect they will get that fixed.

They don't really enjoy having me camping out in their sleeping bag with them over issues like that. Rolls Eyes
