|
|
Hi all!
Well...Chez Liz Studio South is up & running & I have been getting glowing reviews from the clients I have sent audio to since yesterday (OK, Mandy...I'm still waiting to hear from bat-ears-Dan who will be the REAL test! )
So while the audio I have been sending to clients is fine, I was told that my the ISDN connection sounded like my mic was next to an A/C unit with an awful noise floor. ACK!
Before I send the unit back to Telos, I just replaced my Mixer to Codec cables with Mogamis....hopefully that was the problem...maybe the move disrupted my cables somehow. Another session with same client today [fingers crossed]
Any suggestions on what other issues could be causing this? _________________ Liz de Nesnera O.A.V. ~ Livin' The VO Dream!

Aw, yuck! I hope you are able to find the source very soon. And I hope the client is very patient.

This cracked me up! But we both know if there is an issue he'll point it out...sigh. _________________ 006 member of the Sisterhood of the Traveling Mic. Bonded by sound.

i don;t know about isdn per se, but over here in my hovel i discovered a buzz when i switched mics yesterday. as i carried the mic port pro (that was connected to the computer and the mic) in various places, i heard it louder, softer, louder ... then determined it was coming from the landline (now unplugged). it was something fierce in my recordings, both raw and converted. _________________ sitting at #8, though not as present as I'd like to be. Yikes.
I don't have a landline right now...except for the ISDN line! _________________ Liz de Nesnera O.A.V. ~ Livin' The VO Dream!

I'm glad it was fixed. I was going to suggest turning off that AC next to your mic too.
I have an ISDN telephone unit I'm not using if you'd still like to have a land line without adding another land line.
