I'll be in NYC for AES this year, thanks to my new partners over at Edge Studio. I'll be walking the show floor with my cobbled together ENG rig interviewing reps about their wares, as I've done in the past with NAMM shows. If anyone is interested in meeting up either at AES on the 18th & 19th, or Oct. 17th 7:30PM at Edge Studio for a little mixer, it'd be fun to hang out! The mixer has an RSVP link, if you'd like to come.

I'm not going to be there for AES, but rather for a Marice Tobias workshop; but I will be in NYC on the 19th and 20th of October.

Cool, Bob! If my return flight ends up being on the 20th, then maybe we can connect the evening of the 19th! Still pending flight plans...
So many clients have told me that Marice is a total game changer for the experienced voice actor.

But Bob seems to like her workshops. It seems he's been attending and 'singing her praises" for many years.

George,
If possible, I would enjoy that very much. Please email if it turns out that you will be in town long enough for us to connect.
And Bruce is right. While I enjoy working with Marice a great deal, she's not for everyone. For that matter, no single coach is going to be perfect for everyone.

I was planning on stopping by AES - in fact I saw (before I saw this thread) that you were going to be at Edge and planned to send you a note to see if you wanted to meet up afterwards. There's also a Promax event in the city that night - it ends before Edge's ends. A couple of us were planning on heading to both.
Was going to try to hit AES on Friday.
Am also doing Marice's seminar.
What Bob said. She's not for everyone but she changed everything for me. |
