Charlie, are you tryin' to tell me that the tube preamp and new mic that the big brown truck delivered yesterday ain't gonna make me sound like James Earl Jones? Oh well, if I read the Slate article correctly, I gotta find the Metrosexual/faggy setting on that amp.

We're $300,000 into this project...and its 2 weeks past deadline...

All we need is the narration (20 pages) to put this baby to bed. Course, with the budget all shot to *@%$^ we can only pay you (insert insulting amount here)...

Oh, just one more thing. I'm getting the final on the script sometime tonight...so I'll get it to you as soon as I can...I don't need the files until noon... TOMORROW.

"The client made a change in the copy. Just one small change, only a word or two. You should be able to knock it out in a couple minutes."

Hey Dennis -

Didja ever tell someone that they need a new copywriter? How'd that work out?

I once confided in an agency rep that whoever wrote the copy wasted his mamma's money on that college education. He confided in me that it was real nice copy, and I should try to read it the way he wrote it, and quit worryin' about his momma.
