Today I installed some new equipment in my audio chain that I had to rush into service due to a short-notice ISDN booking. I put out a semi-panicked call for some help with testing the lines and the set-up. Chuck and Bish (and Uncle Roy Yokelson) quickly stepped up and helped me tweak the dials and confirm that all systems were "Go" and the session went without a hitch. I even got to be "Movie Trailer Guy™."
In case nobody has mentioned it, I love our VO-BB family. _________________ Lee Gordon, O.A.V.

Nope. That was a session I thought was two Mondays ago that was actually last Monday. The chronology for this one was:
Friday, 12/13/13 email saying "Hold Monday 2 PM for possible session. Will know Monday AM."
Monday, 12/16/13 around noon email saying "Session confirmed."
I reply: "Phone patch?"
Agent replies: "ISDN"
I reply: "Yikes! I'd better hook everything up and test it."
I post an urgent plea in the Faffers group on Facebook. Uncle Roy PMs me. We chat. He no longer has ISDN but gives me a few tips on setting up my new mixer.
Because my new booth is still under construction and my ISDN box has a loud fan, I set the box on the floor, place a chair over it, drape a couple of batts of Roxul Safe 'n Sound over the chair, & drape a furniture blanket over that.
Chuck post his SPIDS and says "dial away." I do and confirm that the line is live and he can hear me (and not the noisy fan).
Knowing Bish has the same mixer as mine, I ping him and he kindly dials me to confirm that my auto-answer answers and he give me a couple of tips to adjust my settings for optimal sound quality. All testing complete by 1:50 PM.
2:00 PM client dials in. I'd say "Chirp chirp" but my Musicam box doesn't chirp.
2:20 PM session complete. Client seems happy. I'm happy.
