I have a schematic of her system she'll send to you so you know how her studio is setup. The problem is Word 2 Wave, Skype, Adobe Audition all playing nicely together. W2W won't play back an output, Skype goes berserk when AA 3 launches, and there might be a third thing...
Windows XP, AA 3.0, W2W, Scarlett 2i2, Lexicon Alpha, Mackie 802VLZ3.
Anyone want to give this a shot? _________________ If it sounds good, it is good.

Roy Yokelson saved the day. Lexicon Alpha does not play well with her system, but the Scarlett 2i2 does. Don't know if asio4all driver was the fix, but sounds like it was. _________________ If it sounds good, it is good.

Part of the problem is AA3 and Skype, The problem can be systemic. every once in a while when using an Emu card it does not play well together or with anything else either.
One simple fix - start Skype first, then AA, then W2W, etc. Make sure AA works after starting it with Skype running. If it does, the rest will follow suit.
