i didn't want to jack the birthday thread - but thanks to lee i spent some time remembering Sid Whatley this morning.

Aw, man. Sid was such a great guy, tremendous talent and a class act.

Some years ago on the old VO savvy forum Sid took it upon himself to create this piece which I'm not only so grateful to have, but very flattered that he'd take the trouble to create this. I think you'll enjoy it; just another example of his amazing creativity:

I never had the pleasure of meeting Sid in person but I certainly knew him as a great guy in the cyber-world.

My thoughts exactly. He was one of several nice and talented people I got to know through voiceoversavvy, who are no longer with us.

Sid passed me one of his clients a year before he passed away, and I continue to work for her on auto spots. So he is never far from mind...again I never met him in person but I talked with him on the phone quite a bit, including just days before he passed. Enigmatic man, one hell of a talent.
