The next time someone asks about getting into voiceover and what all it takes, I'll be sending them to Rachel Fulginiti's blog post. I believe she covers the basics and the caveats quite well:

Perfect!

That pretty much says and covers it all, and in a clear and to-the-point manner.

Thanks for sharing, Bruce.

For a moment, there, I thought Rachel had a sister. Wink

She is obviously a product of a quality education. (After we worked on the same project a few years ago, I looked up her profile and discovered that we were both University of New Hampshire grads.)

I've now added Rachel's blog to my list of resources I send to people who ask about "breaking in" to the VO biz. Those resources include a suggestion to lurk here at the VO-BB, as well as links to words of wisdom from Peter O'Connell, Paul Strickwerda, Bob Bergen, Dave Courvoisier, Connie Terwilliger, and Doug Turkel, among others.

I just realized, one of the links on my list was to a piece Scott Pollak had posted in the Newbies section of Julie Williams' now-departed forum (There's another forum? Not anymore.) That needs to find a new home.
