I made promised to myself that I would never sign with an agency that requires a fee. I submitted a while back and received an acceptance for representation that requires a small monthly fee. This exception is due to the fact that they say the fee is only for the software platform that is used to demo our demos.

I do have a few agents, so if they don't provide auditions, the brag factor alone for the monthly fee would not be worth it!

Thanks in advance for any response.

Wink

You shouldn't have to pay for their business expenses. They are in business to rep you, and it's their responsibility to have the proper tools to do so.

Not to mention the whole unethical smell the query has...

Walk away. It's $180 per year and he's sent the personal invite to every VO on the planet.

... and as far as I know, it's just the usual VoiceBank stuff.

I want to know what his end of the $180 is. That may be unfair, but why would he insist on it otherwise?

Hayguido, I conducted a search for this subject prior to asking, you link provided the answers in a few seconds, thank you for the link.

Bish, you put it all together, thank you for taking the time to investigate everything including the Union facts, they do seem to allude to union affiliation.

To all, thank you, this question as been answered!
