What fun!

My cap is doffed to Elaine for starting one of the longest fun-est threads on the vo-bb. And we should put up a plaque to her neighbor for her contribution to re-naming our forum.

Are we supposed to be singesters too? I've told a few people privately but will now go public on this one. Got a call this afternoon. TV drama. Wealthy middle aged lawyer has split from wife. He loves his job and his favourite film is the Steve McQueen version of The Thomas Crown Affair. In one scene he remembers a girl he worships from afar singing in a piano bar. As he gazes out the window of his apartment on a stormy day he hears her singing (in his mind) and sings along. Viewers will hear both. Problem is that the actor mimed on location but during the dub he couldn't sing the song. The dubbing mixer says I have a similar voice tone and he knows I've sung for spoof/comedy/character things. Director calls me. I say it's not for me. Her voice goes wobbley (close to tears). "Will you at least give it a try?"

Two hours later I have the mother of all headaches and they have something to play around with. I heard a trail mix they used for the offline edit to get the picture sync set up ................. I'll stick to voice talking.

Mary,

A rare delicacy, only for those with a sufficiently discriminating palate. (No catsup allowed.)

Oh no! Somewhere on the intertubes there is a video package from a newscast in Alabama all about eating dirt. I'll see if I can find it.
