Back this morning from a jaunt east to New England and the Adirondacks. Set up a mobile studio and had waaaaay more work than I anticipated (though my candidate in Alaska for whom I voiced ads leading to the primary this past Tuesday lost. Guess I didn't do sh*t for him ). Picked up some new jobs, new clients, got completely stressed out, found 2 measly hours (but they were 2 hours nonetheless) to lounge on Nauset Beach just south of the National Seashore area of Cape Cod. Sadly, my work took much of my time, with an occasional 'good morning' to my parents, assorted family, and S.O., and delayed me enough to not be able to meet and chat with our lovely mcm (sorry, Mary). My dog had to be put down just a few days after I left Utah, prior to which I agonized over whether I ought to send him across the Rainbow Bridge but he seemed like he rallied after a new splint. Wouldn't you know it an old BF to whom I am now forever indebted had Nebo in his care, has known him as long as I have (rescued at age 5 or more, there in my avatar, and we had 6 1/3 years together), and was with him when the vet put him down. Very sad from afar, yet in some way easier since I was then away from home for so many days following. Meantime, my other dog is back to his usual ways, sleeping at my feet in my studio now. Happy to have him and you all! Days later I packed up my unit and headed to the 'dacks, where all communication is impossible, including cell phone, and so it was the payoff. My conclusion after this memorable string of events is that I like vacation where there ain't no work!! But I wouldn't forego being mobile again; I'll just be better prepared. Thanks for listening and hope you're all well and happy! _________________ sitting at #8, though not as present as I'd like to be. Hello!

We do miss you, Diane.
Especially when you're in Southern Maine and we can't find enough time to grab a cup of coffee! _________________ DBCooperVO.com |
