Hello everyone!
I'm now ready to buy a USB microphone to record some voice overs. I have found from many videos and reviews that the Samson Go mic USB microphone is the best option at the best price. Does anyone object to this microphone?

Hello! I've seen mixed reviews for that one. If you were looking to slap a mic on an iPad or similar for generic audio capture, it might be okay.
However, if you're looking to work on your voice work, even for practice, maybe it's not the best choice. For not a heck of a lot more, you could get a decent mic, plus a decent but *not* too pricey audio interface that would suit you now *and* in the future when you someday decide to move up to a mic with a bigger price tag.
There's a good discussion going on right now just a link away: Mic Question for the GearHeads
My personal feeling - by no means gospel, your mileage will vary, etc. - is to avoid an all-in-one USB mic: get a "regular" mic, and let an outboard device worry about the interface, phantom power, etc. _________________ Finally, Ford stops starting to say things and starts. |

It's a toy/Skype mic at best.
If budget is main concern, try the Samson Meteor, I have one and am surprised with the results. Otherwise the AT875r and a Blue Icicle is a nice travel combo that sounds great and is ultra-lightweight. _________________ If it sounds good, it is good.
