Hello y'all

So my new computer arrived today (Mac Pro! Argh! It's so fast!!)

I have a bunch of preset effects, multitrack templates, workplaces etc set up on my old Mac. Is there a way to transfer all that data onto the new Mac nice and easily?

NB - Mac migration assistant is not an option.

I asked a similar question in another venue recently, and received no response. However, I felt like a dummy because a few minutes later I was 'poking around' and discover under FILE, a listing titled IMPORT and one titled EXPORT. (I don't know if you will find a similar menu choice on the Apple version, but take a look for it.)

On the newest version of Audition I find that some of my preference, my FAVORITES and the look and feel of the screen set up just disappear. It's like someone sneaked in overnight and reset everything custom that I had ever created.

I just finished a major project last night so way up on my list is to start making an EXPORT as a back-up so I can IMPORT all my settings when the machine and the program have a nervous break-down. I make a "FULL Hard Drive Clone" as a back-up now and then. I am going to did out the clone from 8 or 9 months ago, do an Audition EXPORT and save it somewhere that I can bring it into the current hard drive and see what happens.

Watch this space!

I tried recovering all of my Racks manually by copying what I thought was the right XML file into my new OS build and was unsuccessful, but I realize now thanks to vkeuhn that I can export Application settings from my other boot driver and Import them back into this system. I'm gonna give it a try... Fingers crossed!
