I was looking at an old post from George while doing a search, and thinking that after all these years of using my Prima LT, maybe I have inefficient cabling in one area. The person who set me up had me bring Prima Out Left into one mixer input, and Prima Out Right into another. So I'm using two inputs just for hearing the far end.
Am I wasting a mixer input channel ? Is there a way to combine L&R Outs into one input, and if so, what would the cabling be?
Thanks! |

I'm using a Prima 110... unless you have an overwhelming need to work with a stereo session, I'll assume you're connecting using a standard "Zephyr compatible" setting (i.e. preset #37 128K mono, 48K, L2)). You only need one mono channel for the talkback. The Prima models (when in a mono mode) present the full signal on the left channel... so you only need to connect that one.
I'm assuming here that you are only the VO needing the talk-back and are not the producer recording the session. _________________ Bish a.k.a. Bish

That's correct Bish--working in mono (though I've been known to talk out of two sides of my mouth --I'll unplug the right input Thnaks
And sorry for posting in the wrong category |
