I just found this video I did a few months ago, and aside from the fact that I think the music overpowers the narration in places, it's a good example of the friendly/conversational/I'm-just-talking-here kind of VO I typically do quite a bit.

It always amazes me how much training and work it takes to sound natural.
You make it sound effortless. Nice job! _________________ www.MarleyAudio.com |

Wow, Kristin, REALLY well done!
And yeah, needless to say, the friendly/conversational read is pretty much my bread 'n butter too. _________________ Doug Turkel (tur-KELL)

Crisp. Clean. Professional Well done.
The music builds and even though you are understandable all the way through the music competes almost to the point of winning by the end.
Only someone that is hyper-critical could possibly find any fault with this production. And any problem they could find would have absolutely nothing to do with YOUR performance.

Sounds great (but, of course )!!
Yep, that's the kind of read (conversational, friendly, etc) that makes up the lion share of my income _________________ Back into the murky lurk from whence I came

Very nice Kristin! And send it to Uncle Roy to tweak. Don't know how he does it but he can pull that narration out from under the music . |

Kristin, Oh how I wish I could do the friendly guy next door type. I am the big voice, professional, narrator type and I have been type cast into that for far too long.
Doggone it you sound nice.

Thanks, you guys -- I thought this turned out kinda nice, and you're all giving me the warm fuzzies...
Simon -- nicely done! That's how I expect I might sound... well, if I were a guy and lived in the UK...
Doug -- aren't we fortunate that this particular 'bread-n-butter' seems to be sticking around for a while?
And thanks for the tip, Melissa! Uncle Roy must be a true wizard, if he can separate the vocal from the music once the spot's been mixed. Hey, I feel like I'm doing well if I can just track down the thing... _________________ Always look on the bright side of life.
