Your read is outstanding! The first spot rocks! The demo is a tad long. And I'm not a fan of same sex partner reads. Hard to know who is who. But you are quite talented with an exceptional, contemporary, conversational read.
Now, when the commercial demo ended some back and forth character somethingorother started. That one I didn't love. Felt amateur and out of place. B |

That conversation coming though at the end was an annoying feature of going direct to SoundCloud. It tends to start playing the very next audio clip whether you want it to or not. There must be a way to make it not do that.
I liked your natural style quite a bit. Even in a very relaxed read be careful of diction especially on critical words. At the end of the BP spot I couldn't understand the last couple of words which I think were important (to the client). Also, among all your natural reads that loud beef jerky spot just blows the whole thing for me. An energetic read yes, raucous no.
Have at it!

Thanks guys I really appreciate the feedback!
Bob - Thanks so much for the compliment, I have to say the first read is my favorite too. Unfortunately I didn't have a woman partner available at the time of recording I ll have to look into changing it up to get a stronger contrast. Hopefully no one would mistake me for a woman..
Bruce- Thanks for catching the diction, Ill go back through and carefully listen again. On perspective of the third spot I didn't even think of it being such in contrast to kill the overall feel.. Ill go back through and play with the third spot.
Thanks guys for takin your time to share your thoughts and ears!! |
