This unit runs reliably every time. It has complete functionality, an updated chip set and all of its buttons intact. I finally disconnected my lines today because the price for AT&T ISDN service here in the Midwest is month to month and now it's over $500/month and they have been jacking it up $100 every 8 weeks or so.
My Zephyr comes with the complete manual and all the patch cords. It's the black faced unit and I'm kinda sad, but am letting it go.
I looked on e-bay for the same model and don't know how I'll price it yet.Bedore doing the ebay hassle I thought I'd put it out here first. Let me know in this thread or PM if you're interested. Thanks! _________________ Bobbin Beam

Chuck, I know! Tom Test, also in the Midwest Regional AT&T stranglehold sold his too about 6-8 weeks ago. I think to Bish for about $500. I'd rather see it go to someone here than some random e-bayer. I'll wait it out a bit. It would be great first-timer for ISDN or for someone who wants a reasonable back up unit for redundancy in their chain. _________________ Bobbin Beam

At this rate, that could be the "last Zephyr you'll ever need".
I've got the same one here. I don't plan on ever having to replace it. _________________ Wicked huge.....in India.

Great that worked out for you!
But here is an interesting observation... with all the doom and gloom being spread about the future of ISDN, here's a NY studio snapping up another unit. OK, they probably want (another) spare unit, and it may well be a NY/Verizon thing (the rates are not being raised by Verizon).
... but if a NY studio is increasing its investment in ISDN... just sayin' _________________ Bish a.k.a. Bish

Where it still works, it still works.... And since they brought George on board, I would imagine they regularly have new clients who ask for a turnkey setup like the one George posted photos of last week. Buy low, sell high. _________________ Don Brookshire

Bish,
Rates are so much lower on the East and West Coasts, and will be the last to fall but the voice talents in middle of the USA are getting completely squeezed out now because the rapidly escalating rates. No more residential service, the stranglehold monopoly of basically ONE provider. As Dave Immer so aptly put it, the center of the USA has become the "high-rent" district for ISDN service. And it is true that the telcos are doing this intentionally and getting the results they desire.
Having redundancy in your chain makes a ton of sense if it makes economic sense. Would you be willing to cough up 6K+ a year of your well-earned VO fees, with no contract on a month to month whim where the sky's the limit and every every 8 weeks you open the bill and it's $100 per month more? In my case, I said, "Enough", and just gave myself a raise. Plus it took an hour plus 3 calls to get to a human bean that could address ISDN disconnection of service, and NO I did'nt mean DSL, or U Verse. GAWD!
Happy dance and good riddance to the service AND AT&T. _________________ Bobbin Beam

Edge Studio NYC hasn't had ISDN yet, this is a new installation. And it's still cheap in NY. We're also getting FiOS there for the first time, all in the same month, it's like a double-miracle. I've done "turnkey" studios for years for actors who want ISDN and nothing else (mostly celebri-voices). _________________ If it sounds good, it is good.
