VO-BB - 19 YEARS OLD!

One of these days the folks in the IT dept. are going to tighten down the screws on the internet filters so hard that the clock in your systray is gonna stop working, 'cause they think it might introduce viruses or sumpin'!

...or maybe clocks are just to messy for all those techy-types....all that ticking and everything.

NE-way...I can no longer access VO-BB at work, 'cause WebSense at the TV station has now been tweaked to exclude Bulletin Boards, clubs, groups, etc.
(No comments from management, Drew).

Soooooooo,Deebs, the question is: do you have any other log-on URL or perhaps an IP address that I might try, to circumvent the new rules (I'm Swiss....they're all a bunch of rebels). 'Probably won't work. But if I can't read my VO-BB while waiting for the lights to come on....I'm lost!

Heh-- I made a typo at first with the word FILTERS and it came out FILETERS.

That might be more nearly correct.

Dave, being a VO-BB addict myself, I can't imagine not getting my routine "fixes". One thing you may consider is a pocket pc or palm phone. I can access the board via my blackberry but I am not a big blackberry fan. If you go with Verizon or Sprint you will have nearly LAN connectivity speeds and you can take it with you wherever you go. IMHO the 6700 is an awesome phone with a pull out keyboard and if anyone out there is starting to think of Christmas shopping for me Inoccent

I must just be lucky. I can get this board just fine at work but can't get the Backstage.com board. It's blocked. I'm like you, I need my fix throughout the day! I'm expecting it to be blocked any day now though!

Can you appeal to the head of IT.? It is after all "work-related" I had to do that here. Most employees are blocked from video and audio, but since it's my job.... Wink

there are hiccups from time to time, but lately its been running smoothly.
