Had to share this gem. This is a first! A friend of mine was asked to quote for a 69,000 word project. She broke down her quote to show her normal hourly session fee, exactly the amount of time it would take to voice and edit and then showed her her £1000 DISCOUNT off the total, which included usage and buy-out. It came to £7000. Very professional and very fair I thought. This was the response she got back:
"Thank you, that is really useful. I appreciate you taking the time to explain this.
Unfortunately this price is way outside my budget. To be honest, I had no idea of the cost so sent a few emails out yesterday and the quotes have ranged greatly - but I do appreciate that experience does count for a lot. I just think you may have too much experience for me at this stage.."
"I JUST THINK YOU HAVE TOO MUCH EXPERIENCE FOR ME AT THIS STAGE!!!" Absolutely priceless!!!
